well, decided to go ahead and do the 3 hr drive to KCIR even though there was a 40% chance of rain. I got a bunch of runs in and had a great time. It's only too bad the track was so hot and humid. 92 degrees on the track. I figured up the DA to be 3400 ft. So I was running about .6 sec's slower than I should have been. anyways, onto the vids:

this run was a 14.9@93 with a 2.3 60ft,

then I raced a sti 3 times. watch what happens:

I had him on this last one too, but my 1-2 shift resulted in major slippage:

I'm completely stock and the sti was running a cold air intake and intercooler sprayer.
My best time of the night was a 14.8@94 with a 2.2 60ft. DA correction says 14.2@98, that makes since. The sti's best run of the night was a 14.4@96 with a 1.8 60ft. We were both pissed that it was so hot cause we both knew our cars could run so much better. He says he was running 13.7's stock with a broke motor mount. So he was very unhappy. I kept having my 1-2 shift suck because of clutch slip. It never slipped on the launch or anywhere else. I guess I just need to learn how to do my 1-2 shift over again since this car doesn't like the way I do it now. I know I probably could have pulled a 14.7 or so if it would not have slipped so badly. I had a fun time though. Motor mounts are going in tomorrow as the massive wheel hop that you can hear in every video is very annoying.

Those are some nice runs! He should have smashed you. Especially from a dig. That guy didn't know how to drive. Good job though. 205HP VS. 300HP Not bad.

nah seriously he could drive. He was cutting 1.8 60ft.'s consecutively. It's just I was killing him on the lights. My .022 reaction time was too much for his .6xx's. I was leaving more than a half a second before him. That last vid he got me but he cut a lot better light too. He was a really cool guy!

His reaction time is part of his ability to be a good driver.

That hot air must have killed you guys. When my wrx was stock i trapped at 93mph and I only put down 170whp. That cai must be killing that stis power if hes only trapping at 3mph more then my wrx and running the same et, and an intercooler sprayer comes stock on all sti's. But nice runs for you in the hot weather.

yea, DA was 3400ft because of the hot and humid weather.

If the Sti did 1.80 60ft's then he's a great driver, he was just sleeping at the lights.
