07 Cobalt with exhaust/downpipe/header/intake/n2o

Sup CobaltSS.net!

I daily drive a 07 Cobalt LS with auto transmission. My current mods are Injen Short Ram and MagnaFlow Cat-back exhaust system. The Balt is quick but not quick enough. I'm considering the following mods:

- CA Stainless Steel Header
- XTC Stainless Steel DownPipe w/ HighFlow Cat
- Exhaust Cut-out
- NITROUS EXPRESS Kit

1. CLICK HERE and let me know if the downpipe and header will fit my Balt.

2. Will I be able to spray safely with these mods without damaging anything? I wouldn't spray no more than 75 shot.

3. Enjoy!

Thank you,

JDMKILLER

NO NO NO cut out. It wont do anything but kill your bottom end. Cut outs are for forced incduction or bigger engines. Do a search on here for cutouts and there will be a thread that will explain it. Put your money some where else. Good looken balt tho.

if he's running nitrous the cutout will be fine. on a stock build with bolt-ons you're right, especially since the only place to really fit one is where the cat was originally. I know off the bottle my cutout is more of a noisemaker or intimidator, but when armed it's real obvious how peak power shifts higher in the rev range. you don't race below 4000rpm anyway unless you're in autocross

JDM - if you're planning to put this all on your car, invest in a transmission cooler, it'll at the least prolong the life of your tranny. look at colder plugs, window switch, bottle warmer, line pressure gauge, etc for the nitrous setup as well to make it a solid kit.

Thanks again, guys! I appreciate the compliments. Its a work in progress.

slowion- Where could I find a transmission cooler?

The wheels are 17" SSC Performance. This picture was taken before the Tenzo's were installed.

check out Summit Racing or Jegs, they usually have a good deal on them, worst case though the local parts stores should have some in stock.

the coupe looks good though, reminds me a lot of my Ion when I had 17's for a short while.
