More squeaks and rattles... (glovebox and driver seat)

My glovebox rattles like a bitch.

Also I have the leather seats, and the plastic part on the left side of the driver's seat rubs against the leather and makes a sqeueaking noise constantly while you're driving.

Anyone developed any ingenious solutions to either of those?

Yeah the box is empty, I'm not an idiot, driving around with it full of pennies!

And I'm not big. If I ratchet the seat all the way up so that the leather doesn't contact the plastic then it's fine... but then my head is thru the roof.

the truth!

i used to drive a 4 year old import and the quality was still nicer than my 2005 chevy. Chevys pretty much suck as far as craftmanship goes, other GM's arent so bad, but chevy is def the lower of them along with saturn.

I had the same problem. I took my car 2 times to the dealer. The second time they change the screws that attached the glovebox with flat-rounded screws. Also they attach 2 small rubber pieces, (they called them mini-****, sorry for the expression) on each edge within the glove box. I'll send you pics on the weekend cause I don't have a camera with me right now. It work well. I still have a little bit of rattle on rough street.

Simple fix for the seat squeak... lodge a tiny piece of felt in there. Worked for me
