better motor mounts

Aight well heres the thing, Im thinking about modifying my stock front and rear mounts with poly inserts for the time being until i can afford better stufff. Atlease for now, it will get rid of some of the wheel hop. I called my bro up today and told him what i was going to do and he said nah, just wait and get a different set of mounts just incase you have to take them off and put the stock ones on and take it to the dealership. IDK y but he said that with different mounts, I could possibly screw up part of my warranty. He works at mercedes so I believed him and I just wanted a second thought from you guys since you guys have dealt with GM themselves. Will better mounts for the front and rear tranny do anything to my warranty?? I just dont feel like screwing the tranny up.

If the dealer wants to be an ass, and whatever you break is somehow related, yes they can not warranty it. It is a discretion thing though.

Well I just went up to the dealership to talk them and explained how much wheel hop this car has. We talked a couple min and I asked, now what would be effected by my warranty if I was to put better mounts on the car to reduce wheel hop so that I dont brake a transmission casing, axle, etc. He told me that with the poly inserts, nothing in the warranty will be voided by it. As long as im using the stock mounts itself with inserts, it will be fine but if i switch the entire mount out with a different one and something breaks then there could be alot of problems if I break something. So i guess Imma make some home made mounts my self to help get rid of the damn wheel hop. Hope this helps everybody out.
