stock belt+2.8"=15.9psi..belt slip???
stock belt+2.8"=15.9psi..belt slip???
i have an interceptor gauge so im assuming its fairly accurate...
does 15.9psi (highest ive ever seen it @ 7000rpm) seem low. my stage 2 belt shredded (long story) after i put on a 2.85" pulley so right away i was forced to put the stock belt on, it seems tight and i dont notice any loss in power up top. boost is constatly climbing untill redline were it maxes out between 15.7 and 15.9... my stock gauge was in Kpa, and i only got the interceptor after stg2+2.85 so i really have no comparison. i dont think my exhaust is free flowing enough to account for this as its stock with just a gmpp catback. i have an injen CAI so its not being restricted there.
im only 500ft above sea level btw.
any input would be great.. anyone know how much just the stage 2 belt is.. or what size it is and if i could just buy an aftermarket belt from autozone?
thanks

IMO you shouldn't have put on the stock belt. Anyways 15.9 PSI is on the low side with a 2.8 and a S2 belt is $38 US, probably close to 100 CAN at the dealer....f-ing dealers.
