New Focus on the 2.4?

Was just wondering if any of the other 2.4L owners hope that with the deletion of the SS/SC that more of the after market will pay attention to and work on items for the 2.4L. I know I have been eagerly anticipating the Hahn turbo kit but and start to get a bit antsy waiting.

i doubt it. will probably get the same attention it gets now. may even get less. companies won't want to invest their time in a car that may not be around too long.

i know the ss/sc is no more, is the entire cobalt going away tho? they're doing that to the Ion in favor of the Astra so i think y'all could expect the same thing....

Its a good chance the 2.4 will get a little better representation from comapanies now that the 2.0 SC is dying ( ) And I also think you 2.2 guys may see a couple things to.

The 2.0SC will be saddly missed on the new car lots tho.

I'm not sure to be honest with you. If you see a jump in the number of them purchased then maybe, but if not I doubt it. Cars usually catch good aftermarket support once they hit the used market strong anyway so I don't think the cancelation of the 2.0 will effect the 2.4 much.

I hope you guys do get more support though. Good luck to you!

I hope there is some more for you guys.
but your forgetting 1 small thing....
just because they arent being made anymore....doesnt mean the hordes of 2.0s already made will dissapear....
look at the SRT4 aftermarket....years after production ceased.....

in a year or 2, when there are more new 2.4 owners...and no new 2.0 owners...thats when the changes will occur i think.
