Any automotive jobs in the MI, IN, OH area?

My brother-in-law is a mechanical engineer specializing in engine design, and is looking to move to the southern Michigan area from Phoenix. (He currently works for Honeywell and works w/ helicopter engines, but worked for FoMoCo. before that) He's been looking around for jobs, but other than the big 3, doesn't know where else to look. I figured some of you guys may have some info and might be able to help him out. I know the economy isn't the greatest in this area right now, so I was thinking maybe someone would have an inside connection or something. His ideal job would be for maybe a supplier as a test engineer or somehow involved in engine development/testing. Preferably the Grand Rapids, MI area, but metro Detroit as well.

So basically, does anyone know of any companies in those areas that he might be interested in? Thanks.

bump. Nobody?

bump for the night people

Yeah, that's pretty much what he's told me. Hey, at least houses are cheap though.

From what I've seen around here a lot of the suppliers are cutting back. I know that Toyota has an R&D plant around here that may be hiring, but honestly Michigan is the wrong place to be looking for an automotive job. Sorry.

Try Cummins in Columbus Indiana, I plan on shooting for an internship there sometime soon and wouldnt mine getting a job there. Our school is pretty well knit with them, and almost every songle intern they have they hire afterwards. There pretty huge as well.

Oh and also there is a new Honda plant going up in Greensburg, Indiana.
