So im watching ESPN classic in my dorm room tonight, and back to back Avis car rental commercials come on. At the end of both of them they show a red screen with the Avis symbol, and low and behold a friggin red SS cobalt below the symbol. It appears they did some editing on the car because it has some huge 5-spoke wheels, no spoiler, and a different air dam. i seriously doubt that avis is renting any thing even close to this car out, but if they are i know who i am going to on vacation.

 

I saw the commerical too, but the one I saw had 3 red SS's at the bottom at the end of the commercial. What's this world coming to? Aveo's aren't renting well for them? LOL

 

i checked on their site and at my location you can rent a cobalt, didnt say anything about being an SS, which i doubt it is one cuz its 21 a day, if it is,,,,im renting it for the rest of the year

I work at Enterprise and Pittsburgh Intl Airport.. I see the Avis cars everyday.. they only have the 2 and 4 door LS.

 

Yeah well I was in Enterprise the other day and they had a poster showing the SRT-4. I'm sure you guys don't have that either, do you? I think this is a bad case of false advertising in both cases.

 

when i went to enterprise to rent a car for my trip to vegas i asked for a manual tranny but they told me that all their cars are automatics. kinda sucks but they are easier to maintain than manuals cuz i'm sure they'll be going thru alot of trannies and clutches if they had cars that were stick. i saw a cobalt ls there but no SS's.

 

When I bought my car one of the things the salesman said was
"Oh ya, the Cobalt is going to be a great buy because GM has already said they will not sell them to be rentals like Focus, Cavalier, and Neons. That means they are going to retain a LOT of their value"

I knew he was full of it then and now I really know !

 

salesmen are stupid. they'll say anything to sell the damn car. i took my gf at the time to a mazda dealer to test drive a mazda 3S and she took it to a curvy mountain road over here to test out the suspension a lil and the guy was telling her that the suspension on this car is superior to honda's, nissan's, and toyota's. lol she told the guy that she wasn't that impressed w/ the suspension and that the suspension on my rsx-s was alot better and he said that the mazda 3 would blow it out of the water. lol so i took him out on a lil test drive w/ my car and he almost **** his pants.

 

prolly would have **** himself in my SS

 

I bet that RSX he has handles better than a SS IMO....IV'e driven both, the RSX seems to handle better....

 

wrong. my ss pulls more g's on the skidpad, brakes better, and accelerates better. dont beleive me, check out car and driver's website. do some research hoss

 

could someone get the commercial and put it up on the post ?
