Are you familiar with the search button? There are a MILLION threads about this and it basically all boils down to personal preference since your car is a 2005, it surely doesn't have the SAI. Most people would vote for the Injen, because you can switch it from CAI and SRI (short ram intake). It's pretty much all in the name and how much you want to pay. I have a custom intake that works just as good and is as loud as the $200 intakes, and I got it for about $70. You can go the cheapest route, and do the "airbox mod". Read here for more about the airbox mod. If you chose to go intake, just look for intakes that fit the 2.2 and 2.4 engines, they both work. The 2.0 doesn't fit.

All intakes will void the warrany on your stock intake system only (it is not there, so how can they warranty it)

It will not void your engine warranty or atleast it should not.

Injen or K&N IMO is the way to go.

Well if you install the GMPP Intake... or have it installed by the dealer you should run into less hassle since it is a GM part

My buddy went to the dealership 2 weeks ago to see about getting the GMPP and installed, and they wanted like $600 for parts and labor. It was crazy! I told him to just install it himself.

Yea, the funny part is the only person that would pay them to do that would be the kind of person who knows nothing about cars... except that kind of person is not the type to get an intake installed. LOL

My point was that if you do a GM Instake install, then it shouldn't rasie as many questions since you still are using GM products. I dont believe GM would void their warranty for instally GM parts

Well, first mods are to make the engine "breathe" better. Intake makes the engine "inhale" and exhaust is the "exhale". I've always thought you have to inhale before you can exhale, so I always go intake first. But I think for most people, it's just preference.

^^^ Agreed if your car isn't breathing in more, why give it the ability to breathe out more?

All intakes do the same thing, it all comes down to where and who you want to spend your money on. Injen, K&N, AEM, Fujita, GMPP, they all do the same job, and give similar gains in performance. However personally, I went with Injen, because it can be had in two flavors, SRI and CAI, which can be converted easily.

^^ Yes that is a great benifit of the Injen and we believe that is why as many customer prefer the Injen over any other intake system.
