Very Satisfied

Cobalt's have always been my fav. car from the gecko and I've always wanted one...my friend ironically just bought a 07 Cobalt LS 5sd Blue, I drove it, and I must say, that lil' thing is quick! Compared to my dads 13 year old Chevy Lumina car that I used to drive all the time, the balt has a lot of quickness. I was very satisfied with the pick up and the torque, and it handled great! I can't wait until I purchase my Cobalt brand new I think I will have the dealership order me the GMPP exhaust and then I'll install it myself.

Its a great car, but I don't understand why people think they are so slow for? Obviously compared to the SS/SC they are, but us LS people, our engines revolved into your SS/SC engines. So if it wasn't for our ECOTEC's, there wouldn't be no boost coming from your Cobalt SS/SC's.

LMAO! YOUR ECOTEC, like U let the SS S/C PPL HAVE IT?? If it wasn't for GM, none of us would have it. And thankx to GM, we both have it.....

Actually the 2.0 comes from the Saab and was out before the 2.2 ecotec. Just so you know, and othe rthen the Ecotec on top of the motor there is nothing the same.
Plus the first Cobalts made were SS/SC's!

the 2.2 is peppy, but i wouldn't go so far as to say it's fast. bolt ons really wake it up and give it a totally different feel than stock, but still, a fully bolted car running high 15's isn't what anyone would consider fast.

but, for what it is, it is fast.

What did they do, make a couple prototypes and then hide tham away somewhere? Based on what was available at dealers back in 2004, the 4-doors were made first. My dealers never saw their first coupes of any kinds until spring of 2005.

no offense but anything is quick compared to a 13 year old lumina. i came from a '91 cavalier z24, my ss/sc was like a rocket ship once i learned to use the clutch and shift properly.... hell, i held my own against a mustang with exhaust, so yeah, these things are quick! lol.

I got mine for $8,810 out the door after tax title and license with only 14 miles on it
I came from driving an 01 civic ex, yes these are quick for what they are, i like mine. Only problem i have with it is when i speed shift (only done it twice, first time out of curiosity, second cuz i was like wtf!?) the clutch slips....

I got it used not new, 31K miles and in perfect shape. it was a base though i couldn't even have the LS unfortunately. looking back at it i was stupid about it and rushed into my purchase. i had been driving a 98 slow as ***** ford taurus forever, the balt was the first car i really liked and could afford right away, and i had been dying to get a standard. I really should have been more patient and saved up more money, that way i could have gotten a cobalt LT or SS/na. Oh well, stupid me. Now i can't decide if i should work with what i've got or save up until I can afford an SS or SS/SC. Its such a hard decision

As for helltime, holy **** man did you get a HELL of a deal.
