4 SALE ON Ebay!
Hey!!! No Problem.
I thought we were supposed to share ideas , info. and deals.
Guess I'm at the wrong site!
All for none and none for all - Do I have it right now?
Must not have been too many, at a selling price of $837.78.

look at the amount of bids the auction started off at a very low price , and had stayed low untill i saw it had been posted on j-body.org , and here , the amount jumped up like crazy
those of us that are looking for the s/c and parts for it , already knew it was there
if it was something you had found on ebay , then someone posted the info on a message board some where , and bidding frenzy started and ended up pushing the part out of your price range you'd be pissed off
sharing deals in this aspect is a double edge sword , in 1 hand you would be helping , and in the other screwing someone

Totally understand your position, hope you understood mine in the previous post
I've been involved with this hobby quite some time and operate old school - help a buddy out
I consider this still to be a deal vs. buying OTC, there will be plenty more out there
as these vehicles enter the market
I won't be purchasing a clean original radiator grille shell for a 32' Ford they pull in $2K , ridiculous!!
Instead I'll buy a repop from a reputable source for $300, better fit , better finish etc.
(31' Ford Model A P/U , 428 Pontiac , THM 400 , 35 spline 9", 60's GASSER genre being restored)
Ultimately you have know the market value of the part, what your willing to pay and finally you must be patient. Good deals do come along - but are seldom free.

yeah , i understand both of your posts
thats why i went in to more detail
yeah its still a deal , if the rest of the parts are cheap , or someone was going to do what i had planed to do , i was going to have the s/c show polished , to put on the g/fs eco cav
and the intake woulda been a extra piece , and would have seen what it would take to make the 2.4 twin cam proto type gm s/c ive got on my cav intercooled
or ida saved it for when/if i get a 2.4 cobalt
but im not in a big hurry yet
all is good

we have 2.4 as you might have guessed!
from what i've heard due to the higher compression there is a lean to turbo the 2.4
this is what is supposed to be slated for the Soltice
but the General likes to keep secrets from it's employees and customers
and of course they do change their minds frequently
ie. the chrome eliminated from the grille on the ss sedan , yet it made it to publicity shots
rock on

im hoping the solstice stays with the 2.4 and has boost , it will make better parts avalible for the n/a 2.4
even though rumors keep bouncing around , that it will get a 2.0 s/c
but there isnt any pics of the 2.0 s/c solstice , just turbo's but they dont have the engine size , but the 1 close up pic shows the vvt cover
