I'm in the same boat you are, I need new tires but don't have any idea on what to get. I searched too but didn't find much of anything. What size are you looking for? I'm looking for 215/40r17's.

I just replaced my 205/55R16 83H Pirelli stocks with 215/55R16 97V. not bad for $70 a pop. Just be sure you get at least the same load index and speed ratings as your stocks. Here is a site that will help you guys out. Tire Info: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=35 Tire Calc (if you're changing to a different tire than your stock tires): http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

I went with 225/40/18 Falken Ziex Ze-512s and they are badass! Very good if not better dry and wet traction than the Pirelli's and they actually do well in the snow and ice as well! And they cost me like $150ish per tire!

some of you guys need to know GOOD tires

granted what you all have is ok..

nothing beats the Eagle F1 GS d3 for a street tire that isnt a drag radial.

I have the 235/40/18 nexen 3000s and i do not spin 1st gear.

how is that for traction?

I had the BFGoodrich KDWs and loved them, gave great wet and dry traction.
