Smooth Lock Special
So I know I got some questions from some of the guys up at Sylvan about how I did my trunk lock with vinyl...
Really Easy all it takes is a "Toonie" and some vinyl from Revy/Rona - cut the circle and it will be just a big enough to tuck under the rubber rim of the trunk lock... I'll put a quick How To just to be a smart ass later I think... (This was told to me by Jason with Smoothlock.com when I inquired about getting some for our cars).
As for your door handles...
this was posted on another thread but I wanted to let you all know here since I was asked at the meet as well...
CURRENTLY Jason with Smoothlock.com has a special since he cant make a trunk lock for our cars he is offering a discount on the door locks... 10 bucks gets u 2 smooth lock inserts for your car - color matched and will fit perfectly here is a pic of mine which I just recieved today...

I tried the Revy Vinyl first and because its so recessed its looks way to shallow... looks really crappy but these come in a bubble style so they are raised and if u relly wanted u could easily build up the back a little with some plastic etc to raise them more but for the look I think its much nicer than when i tried Vinyl before.
WOW Dude... that is ******* sweet. not only the key lock but the lights. That is very different and looks awesome.
Uh-oh...the secret it out! Shhh.....
For the record, they are not ordinary vinyl. I tried many suppliers before I found the grade of material that was tough as hell and had enough adhesive to hold on through the elements and high-pressure car washes. They are not flat but have a slight raise to them to not be so stark and out of place. After all, you are wanting to make the locks blend in more with the rest of the car, right? This does the trick.
That's why I made them!
Anyone can e-mail me for more info about the special and why we couldn't make the trunk lock covers (in that case, vinyl does look good, due to the shape of the trunk lock).

Comes in a gloss black finish that requires no painting, but can be primed and painted to match your car at any time.
Q. Can I paint them to match my car?
A. Yes, they can be painted to match your car. If you want to paint yours, you need to make sure the paint will stick to the SmoothLock. We suggest using a clear primer such as Klean-Strip Adhesion Promoter or similar product. Once the primer has dried, you can paint the SmoothLocks.
TIP: Once the paint dries, use a very sharp X-Acto knife to trim around the edge of the SmoothLock. This will make it easier to remove it from the backing paper without cracking the paint.
