FS: 10k Hi/Lo HID Kit (True Plug & Play)
FS: 10k Hi/Lo HID Kit (True Plug & Play)
I've had this kit on my Redline for about 8 months now. I'm assuming it'll fit a Cobalt, but you guys would know better than I would.
I think I paid a little over $200. I'm asking $120, shipped.
It's a 10k HID Hi/Lo kit that requires absolutely no modification to the stock wiring. I still have the original box, but I think I lost the instructions. It's easy to do, and I can walk you through it.
There are two weird things about this kit:
1. You must plug the harness into the ballast backwards (apparently, this is normal for this kinda kit, as I'm not the only one to have to do this)
2. The high beam is not very bright. The only time I've used it is when I'm in an area where cops will pull you over for HID kits (since they're not street legal) so it does come in handy.
The kit works great, and the lights are bright as hell. The only problem I've had is that the right ballast doesn't always ignite and I have to flick the high beams to turn both headlights on. This happens maybe 1 out of 50 times.
I don't think it's a problem w/ the kit, but rather w/ my car. HID's require a lot of voltage to ignite, and I don't always have the power needed right after cranking. This could be my battery, or it could be b/c of the 1200 watt amp in the trunk.
