2.4L Supercharged build started

So far I have acquired:

Innovate LC-1
LSJ alternator
Cobra heat exchanger
Intercooler pump

and the Eaton M62 with the 3.34" pulley will be here in a week or two.

Still need some more parts as well as the two that need to be ordered from Rebel Auto Worxs

cuz the'res a second tensioner on the ss/sc

i did use the stock belt, but if you remember rebel made me a second idler pulley to eat up the 10 or so inches of slack that was left

good luck finding a belt that will just fit, i went through 7 belts i think

all were too short or too long

u should be able to get away with a stage 2 belt, we made the pulley and used the stock belt, i figure its easier this way when i wanna drop a pulley

So the belt from Rebel is a custom belt? does this mean when we all grt belts(stage1 or 2) they are gonna wear out quickly,or did the custom idler take care of that?

no no there is no custom belt
i used a stock ss/sc belt, which was too long, so we made the idler pulley,
stil a little slack, i could have just got the stg2 belt but i decided to go with a Rebel meth plate which raised the blower just enuf to get a perfect fit belt
if i used a stg2 belt it would have worked just as well, but i wanted to prepare for meth

So basically, use the stage 2 belt with the rebel extra idler andit works fine.

Thank you guys for steping up and leading the way, i would like to say you are pioneers since i have trust issues with all vendors on all sites, cause of so many problems i can't trust new vendors but once they get good rep i dont mind spending money

nah you gotta find them. the toughest part i am having trouble locating is the lower intake manifold. and 2 step colder spark plugs (copper--at least not in stock locally)

your completely misreading what he is saying. He used the STOCK SS/SC belt and added an extra tensioner pulley to take up the slack. So what he is saying is, you should be able to just buy the Stage 2 belt and be ok without the extra tensioner.

Look under the Classified section, there is an Official m62 sell thread, or under the Supporting Vendor section for Rebel Autoworxs, they have a m62 sell thread as well.

Glad I paid the extra $150 for the idler with bracket

I'll let you know how it works out.

no no this is wrong, i need the extra idler anyway, there's no possible way to eat up that amount of slack,

YOU NEED THE REBEL IDLER
YOU NEED A STG 2 BELT

Thats it lol

if you want to prepare for meth, buy the meth plate from Rebel and you can use a stock belt
