Limited Slip VS none?
Limited Slip VS none?
Loving my black SS/SC but I have to ask, does the Limited Slip help a lot with 0-60 times, or is it more for exiting corners. I am finding that I have problem finding traction launching the car, to much ***** to the walls. I did not order my Cobalt with Limited slip but I think I am regreting it.

The LSD will help a lot off the line and through corner's. GM was retarded for not making an LSD standard on the SS.
a bud of mine a mechanic at gm "the SS really doesnt have enough power to make the LSD work as intended" and i believe it slows the car down, or hope it does, considering the one i drove with lsd was not impressive.
there is soo much mis-information about the LSD it makes me too frustrated to even post in this thread ...its not that big of a deal unless you cant control your right foot wile cornering ...
www.howstuffworks.com look up how lsd work ..you will then understand how they are beneficial

umm right off the line putting power down to both wheels instead of one.....traction benefits of such a setup. i think you'd be naive to not understand the benefits of a LSD. It may not make a hage difference but i am sure it helps.

it will send the power to the wheel with the most traction ....in a straight line i.e. drag race the surface condition is likely identical thus both wheels have the same traction I dont see a huge benefit, there is however more drive train loss with a LSD
Cornering and acceleration in 1st gear around slow speed corners that you explode out of is nearly impossible in the Cobalt SS non LSD.... I'm looking into having it installed for the sake of SCCA....
