All you pro tuners...
All you pro tuners...
So I got HPTuners and finally started scanning and tweeking. So far I have successfully limited boost in first and a couple minor things, but could use a little help in understanding some things...
I have been reading a lot about tuning, but haven't found andything about what to do with what tables and why. I was able to figure out something and want to know if I am on the right track before I start making changes. I have noticed when scanning that my STFT is all over the place and the idle is a little rough. I command an AFR at adle/cruise of 14.7. I noticed that certain MAF frequencies at certain stable conditions I am running about the same LTFTs. So lets say that at idle I get a fairly stable 14.7 AFR with a MAF of 2000 hz and a LTFT of 3.9. Does that mean that if I go to my MAF tables and increase the ammount of air for 2000 hz by 3.9% that my MAF will be properly calibrated (in theory) for 2000 hz? Then I would need to do a similar formula for the rest of the frequencies (stabilize 14.7, note LTFT and MAF and adjust MAF tables), right?
I hope I explained it right. Seems to me that a good start on tuning is to get trims in line, but I coiuld be way off... Any and all comments appreciated!

Yea, I was hoping to get some help from some of the guys here because they tune cobalts. As it turns out, I was right (as you know from the HPT forums). I just readjusted and I am ~+/- 4% all across the board. Still hoping to get some guys on this site to give a hand or something, because I have a TON more questions.
