The Garrett kit will bolt up to an Auto 2.2 and depending on the year, you may have tuning. If not you will need to run a piggyback or standalone. You also have an auto, there isnt tranny support yet.

Garrett and Alpine have kits... There is no tuning available but they include a piggyback. as for the auto transmission, I don't know if you can use it with them.

I actually was told by my local hp tuners that they could retune my tranny to work with the garrett turbo kit(automatic)

this statement is ignorant and too widely used.

Have you tried to tune your car? Do you know how to tune your car?

Or did you get that impression from someone else?

Just because there's no standalone ecu that you can tweak doesn't mean you can't tune. Just makes the process more complex

No offense, I just think it's really ignorant when someone says something CAN'T be done

it can and has been done, just not a high success rate.

Wow, two in one night.

Okay, here is the thing with the automatic transmission on the L61 cars. The trans control modules are completely separate units from the engine controllers, but they are "married" to the engine modules. The trans controllers are slave devices. They can be flash tuned, but in this car, they have to be tuned through the engine controller. And since nobody has tuning software yet for the engine, then there is no software for the trans either. HPT does support our trans modules, but not the engines, therefor you can't get the trans module using HPT.

Garrett's kit is for 2005-06 manual trans cars.

You will have axle problems if you experience uncontrolled wheel hop or hard starts from a dead stop. Just driving it on the street will be fine.
