What Clutch?

Plan is -

Stage 2 GM
60# injectors with 2.79 (maybe?) pulley
Some form of extra cooling (havent looked into options yet)
Some sort of tune (no idea what tunes are out there)
Header back exhaust 2.5" or 3"
Intake
Full mounts

Anyway, if I do that what sort of after market clutch do I need that can handle that sort of power? I realize its not an amazing amount of power, but stock one is weak from what I hear. This car is my daily driver too and I want to keep the clutch pedal at a reasonable level of stiffness.

Any opinions will help! And links if you have some too!

Exedy, is the only clutch that I have never heard anyone cmoplain about. Yes it's $1000 but its comes with a flywheel and will handle that power no prob.

The SS/SC has had but luck with clutches but as mentioned above the exedy hasnt cuz any problems where all others have. Just for info the Exedy clutch was the same clutch that was used in the Time attack Cobalt that raped everyone.

I dont know that much either but fomr what I do know this is the only clutch that I would reccomend.

Yeah I did a search on them and it looks awesome, guess its just hard to get use to the pedal pressure. I just hope the pressure isnt overly bad. Once the stock one burns up Ill have to get one! Only 12k miles on this clutch, I hope it will last a bit longer!

IMO Exedy or the SPEC stage 3+

You will like either one. We keep both items in stock too.

I am using the SPEC stage 2+ and so far no problems, it grips great... I babied it without cheating a bit during the 450 mile break-in period also... oh yeah and I still am using stock flywheel..

not sure why you are getting gm stage 2 while you still plan on getting a smaller pulley, injectors and a tune...If you plan on getting these three things, gm stage 2 would be wasting money, IMO

i have one 500 shipped it is brand new bully stage iv selling the car so no since on me keeping it is normally a $936 clutch. All you need to do is resurface the flywheel. It is a 6 puck, kevlar/ceramic coated and includes a brand new throw out bearing and alignment tool.... my loss is your gain...

Anyone else running that bully clutch? I'm kind of interested but a clutch and flywheel is a huge mod. I want to research before anything. If the time attack balt used the exedy I don't see how you could go wrong with it then...except it may not be real streetable...

Exedy is the only way to go. No other clutch works as good without a single issue.
