Midrange Power 2.4

anyone have any parts or ideas or answers for some midrange power mods. i think some slight ecu tuning or something to tighten that up in the powerband i think the midrange in the 2.4 seems alittle slow it picks up awsome but just kinda slow and long wish it would pull alittle harder.

yeah know what you mean

it roars off the line, but it's like there's something snagging it before 25-35 then it really picks up after that

i think most members say its 20hp for the three boltons,i wonder after some members get the typical boltons would it not be wise to put your power to the pavement:motor mounts, rear sway, tires and a flywheel and clutch to get you there. One mod that helped myself quite a bit was the TWM short throw.

its hard to say,the best way to tell is go to a dyno (stock) then go back again with your bolton on. and find out the difference for yourself

After my tune, my mid range is alot better. I added about four degrees of timing and it really helped it out, anymore and I see some knock retard. But that is mainly due to the summer heat.

the tune seems to be the key with the 2.4,anyone who has had a tune describes their car as "a new ride" it just ties everything in, and gets rid of that rediculous torque mangement etc,,

I'm not going to bother now,I'll wait to I dump the Rebel kit on the car over the winter, just gonna take my time so i also have the clutch/flywheel,shop axles etc.. to support the extra power, then i'll tune.i had to move across country to a place 1% of the size of the city I came from to find someone with a dyno shop who experienced with HPT.

Nice. That should be a pretty sweet setup.

yeah i agree i think i heard some sound clips of a stage 1 cam setup with an exhaust my god it crackles loud but sounds sick as hell. if i had the 1800 for a stage 2 setup with diamond pistons thats atleast 40whp i think at most. and a twinscrew we should be right on 300whp with the other mods i have aswell. and need short shifter and clutch and axles and limited slip would be nice but thats 1500
