Anyone here drive a Pursuit?

I figured we’d have some pursuit members on here since it is the same car and there aren’t any Pursuit Forums out there.

So anyone here drive one? I’d like to see more pics of the GT coupe

No the Pursuit does not have a S/C...the '05 models came only in four door with the same 2.2L that is in the non-ss trim models of the Cobalts. The GT has a similar look to the SS non-S/C (and now comes in a coupe) and has the same 2.4L engine as the 2.4L Cobalt .

they dont sell it here , because of the G6

both cars are very close in size

even though the G6 gets to have a V6 and a 6spd manual

The GT has the same 2.4 as the Cobalt SS (not S/C)

Wow that GT coupe looks nice.... but then so does the G6 coupe. Are G6's not sold in Canada or something?

I have yet to see a G6 coupe but I would imagine they will make it here sooner or later. I'm not sure why they didn't make the pursuit available in the US...I'm sure GM had their reasons though .

Pontiac didn't make the pursuit in the USA b/c they didn't want cross-competing sales. From what I've heard pontiac sales are slipping here state-side and if the G6 dosen't save the brand it will be the next to follow Oldsmobile down the tubes.

Ummm, NO! that isn't right at all. The G6 is the same car as the Chevrolet Malibu, same platform, engines, etc. A step up from the Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac Pursuit.

GM USA deemed that since small cars sold a lot worse in the USA, buyers would be happy enough with the Pontiac Vibe (a car that actually is the same size as the Pursuit).

Here in Canada for 2005 we had the Chevy aveo, Chevy Cavalier, Chevy Optra, and the Chevy Cobalt all fighting for the small car market.

WE also have a Aveo clone at Pontiac called the Pontiac Wave.

And yeah, I have seen lots of Pontiac GT coupes/Sedans and a few Pontiac G6 Coupe GTP's with the 3.9L and 6-speed manual.

hey all.. i will try to take lots of pics...

i was just wondering.. is it me or did they make very few white sedans? I haven't seen any on the road around the Toronto area...either that or I've had bad luck finding them.

I'm thinking about putting an intake on the car immediately but will it really increase gas milage/efficiency or will it just add more noise due the increase in air? my car will be an auto so will it really benefit from the intake?

Adding an aftermarket intake will give you a nice HP gain and a much better sound, as well as slightly improve your gas mileage. The performance gain won't be drastic considering you have an auto, but you should definitely be able to feel a nice difference in top-end power. A nice intake will make your car sound 10x better, so sometimes its worth it just for sound alone

they ddint make the Pursuit because pontiac isint doing so well over there but lots of people this side of the border love them for some reason (I dont mind the new stuff but am not a fan of the Grand AM/ Grand Prix)
