GM cam gears

does anyone know how to install and adjust the GM cam gears? not the cams, the cam gears. thanks.

install them just like you would regular cam gears. to adjust, just loosen the adjusting bolts and move them back and forth(retard, advance). To make them easier to adjust I'd cut out an access panel and use a peice of sheet metal with some gasket material that bolts on... or something along those lines.

alls i can say is just line the timing chain marks up to the arrow on the cam gears keep turnin over the engine till you see tthat the mark on the chain line up every time it enters and exit on the mark to keep your timing right.

Well, Either you know how to do it or you will probably **** up your car.

As a minimum, get a mechanic to install it but show you how.

well im sure i can install it. what i was realy looking for is how to pull the timing on it. that i've never done before. when you made that statement, i thought you were saying that its not an applicable part to our engine. lol. i do know a mechanic at the chevy dealership, i just don't know if they'' know how to pull the timing eiither.

I thought with those adjustable gears you need some sort of tuning also if you adjust them? Cause you'll throw a code. I could be wrong though.
