Gmpp S/c + N2o

does anyone here know if the stock 2.2 internals can handle the GMPP S/C (remember I have a cavy) kit and a small shot of nitrous (like 50, 35 if I have to)? I plan on tuning the kit with HPTuners instead of going with the GM reflash.

I know that the engine can handle a 75 shot stock (per GM), but can it handle 10 or lbs of boost plus a small shot?

I am very serious about this. I want to make power without a ton of heat. I know that once you start dropping pullies in the M62 heat takes over.... the nitrous would then serve a dual purpose: cooling, plus easy hp.

someone here made upper 200whp on a m62 on there stock cavi 2.2 .. hasn't blow up yet.. i wouldn't run n2o with a s/c on the stock internals just get a very very good tune with i believe hes running a 3.0 pulley or it could be 2.8 just be careful its like a time bomb lol

id consider some internals before spraying a blown 2.2 IMO

i have seen people run small pullies on the GM s/c (2.7) reliably for a good amount of time, thats why i was wondering if the n20, in like a 35 shot would be safe.

you could get 35HP outta boltons and a tune if you really try... n20 isnt worth the $500+ for a kit if your not spraying atleast a 75 IMO

thats a good question

I'd say if you were running a 35 shot of nitrous at the track only you could get away with it...anything else I'd think it would only be a matter of time before something went.

Does anyone have an example as to why i couldnt run the charger and spray at the same time? I understand that the L61 is proven to reliably run a 75 shot, a 35 shot is much less of an impact on the internals than the 75 shot, plus the nitrous would help to dissipate the excess heat produced by the s/c. has anyone tried this.

since yellow was mentioned, I think that he is a good example to use here. He ran his stock L61 (hard) with the m62 (and a stg 2 pulley) with absolutely no tuning for months, and the only thing that happened was a clogged cat. With proper tuning, shouldnt my car handle the boost and the small shot? I'm just looking for someone who has/knows someone who has tried something similar.

Nitrous decreases your intake temperature...but ultimately increases your engine temperature because you're burning more fuel at the same rate. So no, the N2O would not "dissipate the excess heat produced by the s/c".
