what r the different transmissions that come in the cobalts 5 speed that is i just got my car back from the dealer on friday they put a brand new trans in and its an f23 from what i can remember i had an m86

The M86 and F23 are the same thing

no, there are two different versions of the F23 transmission. The M86 and the MG3. the M86 is for lighter cars like ours. under about 4000 lbs and the MG3 is for heavier cars, (SUV's) its used in the saturn vue
I don't know how much power it can handle though, i wanna know lol
