Short ram intake killed my gas mileage!!!!

It sounds so good I can't keep my foot of the floor lol....
I bought the Cosmo Racing CAI when I went on my parts shopping spree, and I was happy to receive it today! The fit was great, much better then I was expecting considering the super low price, plus it feels very solid now that it is installed. Even when using a significant amount of force, the intake is hard to move about.
Here is an installed pic.....

Excuse the filthy engine bay. The dealership where I bought the car had it detailed, and the detailer apparently thought that the valve cover was polished from the factory, so he used aluminum wheel acid to "shine the valve cover up". So now, I have a shitty, spotty looking valve cover and fuel rail. However, I am lucking out, because a friend of mine with an L61 Cavy has a spare valve cover and he is going to get it powder coated (he knows a guy so he gets a huge deal, $45) and give it to me for the cost of the powder coating and my stock one. While we have it apart, we are going to spray paint my fuel rail gloss black. It ought to look pretty damn good when we are done!
Now I'm just waiting on my header and cat to come in so I can install all of that!

i dont know... the 1 7/8 inc exhaust and HOOOOOOOOOORRIBLE air box design really limit the jbody ecos. ill bet that the 350 lb difference will show now that its opened up. i dont know how the whole 40 hp vs 350 lb weight advantage would work out. not saying i would win, just saying we will need to find out!

id say if he emptied all this crap out of his car and you guys raced from a stop he probly pull on you in the 60 ft but not by more then a 1/4 panel.. but after the 60ft you would have him by a car at most... provided he was driving a manual.. and actually knew how to launch his car
