Aeroforce Intecepetor

I just installed my Aeroforce Inteceptor. The gauge turns on fine and i have all the parameters set but it ISNT GETTING DATA from the car. It just lists what it is monitoring but no actual reading. Did I install it wrong and has this happened to anyone else? Thanks

I just checked and im pretty sure it is plugged in all the way. I bought the dual guage pod and i am using it with my stock boost guage in conjunction with it. However i didnt splice any wires when putting it in; im under the impression power comes from the OBDII port?

not with these cars.
some recieve power from OBDII, but ours you have to supply power to the red wire independantly.
the OBDII has ground and data, but no power.

that im curious about.
i was under the impression it gets no power from the OBDII

but maybe its drawing some...but its not enough to properly power the gauge (hence your problem) and thats why we are told to give it its own power source.

ahhhh that may just be it. i have driven the car twice since last night and the guage has shut off and then restarted while i was driving. (ergo lack of sufficent power)

which wire on the intecepetor should i use to tap into the red power wire on the boost guage?

Some people who have done it this way have had problems. Aeroforce recommends splicing a line off of the fuse box, using an add-a-fuse kit, with a 5 amp fuse. That way your gauge is getting "clean" power and can't get fried.

PS-This is the way I hooked mine up and have had no problems, and the wire is easy to hide under the dash.

He's correct.

The OBDII port is mainly used as a ground which is why you only need to tap the pink wire that goes to your factory boost gauge to supply power for the Interceptor.

I've got two in mine. They're great.

Or run it to your sunroof fuse near the passenger side seat.

Once I splice the wire into a power source, which wire do splice on the guage itself to get the power to it? Can i use the adapter wire they sent me that just plugs straight into the back of the Inteceptor and splice the other end into a power source?

There should be 3 wires that plug into the back of the interceptor. If you just run the red one to the sunroof fuse you dont have to do any splicing.
