right now im stuck on the side of the road....car died
yeah im posting this from my phone. tow truck will be here in an hour. i got my stage 2 installed 500 miles ago, car has 1900 miles on it right now. i am making a trip home from college, i had been cruising at 90mph or more for about 150 miles, took a country road to get to my house, car hesitated going into every gear. the RPMs would just drop...cruising in 5th car just died and i coasted into this restaurant. when i start it the RPMs jump to 1500 and fall over and over til it dies. car had been running like a champ ever since the stage 2 install up til now. help what do i do and what the **** is wrong with my new car!!! towing it to the dealer once the truck gets here

That sucks! once i broke down in my first car and i managed to get my car to a little shitty gas station. This was about 9pm and i was about an hour from home. The station closed right after i got there and i spent 2 hours sitting ontop of a big air tank in the dark to keep the skeeters from carrying me away lol.
i had this same thing happen to me.... i think the boost bleed off value(or what ever its called) is NOT bleeding off the boost. psi is still in the manifold, then you try and start it and rpms jump all around and then the car dies again. what i did was pump the gas padel as you try to crank it over and see if that helps... thats how i got my car to start
anyways, its very weird...
ps my car hasnt ever done this again...

well i made it home, car is sitting at the dealer waiting to be diagnosed tomorrow morning. I doubt they will notice the s3 pulley, the dealer who put it on didn't even notice.
Honostly..it sounds like you TPS (throttle positioning sensor) to me. I had this happen in my Dodge Avenger when I had it. I would start it and it would rev up and just drop to 0 rpms and stall. Just an idea...but im not 100% sure..
god i hope so....that would make the fix easy and i could get my car back soon. I don't wanna have to drive a loaner back to school....
Many possibilities here. The first thing I would check based upon recent stage 2 install would be to determine if one of the air intake ducting hose clamps was left loose and the ducting came loose resulting in unmetered air entering supercharger/engine. This would result in the MAF sensor sending a signal of very little or no air flow with the engine actulally getting normal air flow resulting in a condition similar to what you are describing.
Good Luck!!
Good Luck!!
my car was doing the same thing when i would start it i changed the plugs and got rid of the code p0300 which is multiple misfiring and stopped the problem later on i got a full exhaust with a stock tune and the dealers in miami arent very strict so i through the code again dealer changed the injector # 4 and everything has been good for 6 months now
Got my car back!!!
you are correct sir, just picked up my car from the dealer. Thank god it wasn't anything major but now i feel like a ******* for not checking the intake.
Thanks for all the responses guys!
