Hey guys,

Just looking for some ideas as to what people clean their rims with. Mine are sick with break dust and other crap so I was wondering what people use to clean their polished SS wheels. I used this Meguiars stuff in a pinkish bottle but I was wondering what other people use.

Also, what about for the interior? I don't have the leather but I am looking for a good cleaner that will leave a mat-finish and not make it all shiny. Any ideas are helpful.

Thanks one and all.

On the wheels i use windex auto or meguiers detail spray for rims, both give the rims a good shine. If you want to polish your rims, mothers polish works great.

if the brake dust is caked on there real good try simple green. spray it on real good and let sit for a few minutes, use a rag if needed and then spray it off. then use any polish that you prefer. i use simple green for a lot of things such as cleaning the engine bay. i use plastic bags to wrap around and protect the electrical connections and then spray simple green all over. then rinse with a hose but very lightly. keep the hood open to let dry real good and while it's still wet you can use a rag to wipe any residue off.

Windex Auto can be used for more than just windows,it works on plastic, chrome, windows etc.The meguiers is a detail spray you can use on the rims after you wash your rims or the next day if you have a thin layer dust you want to clean off for a quick detail.

ive been known to clean my whole truck with windex....haha!

and use wax on the wheels after they are clean to shine them up, just like your paint...wax on wax off

and ive noticed that brake dust gets on the inside bad too, im tempted to take the wheel off and clean the inside too, but i never do, maybe for a car show...
