The pedal is super stiff and if you drive in lots of stop and go traffic your leg will look like pop eye. Good clutch none the less. A decent one would be a spec stage 3+. Still driveable. do you know how much the exedy is? $1,200 lsjwannabe 09-24-2007, 09:29 AM 1k or so i think the spec is 700 or something like that Not to go against your advice but the Stage 3 Exedy clutch is not for everyone. The pedal is super stiff and if you drive in lots of stop and go traffic your leg will look like pop eye. Good clutch none the less. A decent one would be a spec stage 3+. Still driveable. $1,200 defanately not i just thought he was looking for more power if he was talking about upgrading the clutch anthonyS88 09-24-2007, 09:30 AM it seems like everyone with the ss s/c should have a clutch on standby because i have heard they go somewhat quickly lsjwannabe 09-24-2007, 09:31 AM its all in the driver there are people running 295 whp on stock clutch and drag radials to. It is in the driver. ss sleeper 09-24-2007, 09:31 AM okay ill probaly end up going with the spec stage 3, the stage 3+ sounds like it can do the same or a lil more but it is 200 more expensive lsjwannabe 09-24-2007, 09:33 AM I run a bully stg4 ran me 780 and feels like stock clutch only its a 6 puck full ceramic ss sleeper 09-24-2007, 09:35 AM I run a bully stg4 ran me 780 and feels like stock clutch only its a 6 puck full ceramic do you have the link to that web site, and do they have a stage 3? lsjwannabe 09-24-2007, 09:37 AM Yeah they have a stage 3 but its more lol its a different compound and cost more to produce. I think its bullyclutchs or something like that just google it. I bought mine through tag back when they were around . TurboTechRacing 09-24-2007, 11:20 AM IMO you will be very happy with a Exedy Hyper Single stage 3 or the SPEC stage 3 M88ArRamadi 09-24-2007, 11:34 AM If you get the spec clutch....get the "+" versions NGalaxyTimmyo 09-24-2007, 11:47 AM Just like M88arRamadi said, get the + versions if you go with spec. I have no problem with driving my stage 3+ spec around. I don't think it's that bad, and I didn't even notice it when I first started to drive it. (My car was down for a month because they sent me the wrong flywheel, so I had to ship it back and wait for it). It wasn't until I drove a stock clutch cobalt again that I noticed how stiff mine was. Still, doesn't bother me at all. I installed a Excedy clutch in a car the other month. It's stiffer in comparison, but the guy says he doesn't notice it anymore. You'll get used to any of them pretty quickly. To choose what you want, pick out a HP goal, and make sure you leave room to move up in the future. I believe the rule is something like 3/4 power. If you plan on going to say 750hp, build it up to withstand 1000hp. That way if you want say 850hp, you don't need all new parts. LopsidedJester 09-24-2007, 11:47 AM yeah, spec stage 3+ works for me great. Amazing grip and still not too harsh for traffic |
