Unhappy Has this happened to you??

Driving the other day and I shift into some gear (doesnt matter) and I take my hand off the shifter knob only to find the little shift chart thingy came off and was stuck to the palm of my hand. I'll let the pics speak for themselves. Anyone else have this problem? Is it covered under warranty?

Pic#

1. Normal (before)
2. WTF! It's stuck to my hand...???
3. After

Note: pics are from camara phone

If yours is moving now it will come off soon, It is held by three clips, it moving means one or more of yours are broken

Good to know! I think I'll just glue it down then. That would be easier and probably faster then booking it in for a replacement.

I thought that it was odd that it came off since I don't really grip it all that tight.

If I put some super glue on there should I worry about a little bit of it dripping down in that hole?

gorilla glue is the s*&t! That stuff will bond to anything and hold it, no problem.

nope it wont affect it at all. I havent had any problems since I glued mine, about 3 months ago. If you get it replaced it will happen again

bah, thats nothing. wait until the whole knob comes off when you shift into reverse. (x3)

or wait until it pops off when its parked, and you come back to find the whole knob on the passenger seat. (x5)

better than the shifter problem the srts had. One hard shift into second and you could find yourself buying a new rear window

yep... it's a POS plastic that brakes off easily... if you look you see the teeth are still ontop of the shifter knob... you'll have to glue it back on.

This happened to me... and I turned around and got a Hurst.

I had no problems w/ the stock shifter... I just always wanted a HURST...
Bought the HURST and it feels 100% better, more solid, minimally shorter throws... worth every penny!
Although my HURST knob has scratched fairly easily (can't notice it from a distance), I had it warrantied once and my 2nd knob is worse
anyone else have this problem?
