That doesnt help anything. GM has been making a S/C kit for the 2.2 Ecotec since 2003.

The question is, did the dealer guy say they make a kit for the 2.2 COBALT Ecotec?

your an idiot.. that will NOT work for your car. its for the 2.2L eco in the cavys which is a totally different car. PLEASE search. this topic has been flamed over and over and the end result is the dealer NOT knowing what there talking about and **** up your car trying to isntall it

Short terms: DONT DO IT, IT WILL NOT WORK.

my 2006 cobalt ls that will be supercharged

hi everyone my name is lucas... in two months my cobalt is going off the road and it is not leaving my garage untill i see the boost gauge move...that's right i said it right... boost gauge and i am not using a turbo... i was lucky enough to pick up a 2005 2.0 ecotec motor with only 25k on it and it has everything.... i was even lucker when last weekend i picked up a 2.2L from a 2007 cobalt. i have everthing to do it just waiting till winter... i know what you are going to say next.... that's all good but what abot tuning... got that covered with aems piggy back ecu.. so i will keep you guys posted... i know yellowshowbalt did the same thing but it seems he is giving up so i guess i have to keep the hopes up for us 2.2 guys

Sure, there's a picture of the Cobalt, but that doesnt mean you can get it for the car
They should not have put the pic in the build book.

You can be a little nicer about it.

To the original poster.. Read the Sticky under this section called "Forced Induction information thread". It will tell you what all kits are available. You will see there is no GM supercharger kit because it will NOT work on our vehicles. We have a completely different ecu AND throttle body.

Yeah man. but you just have to realize we get threads like this every week and we try to explain it. Its been said a billion times, that its 100% not going to work on the cobalt. period. So if i were you, i would educate him so that he doesnt put false hope into someone elses head. Thats all bro. Just gotta do a little searching on here and all your answers will be answered. You can supecharge your car, but theres no "kit" out just yet. Soon tho =P

they may make one but how are you going to tune for it??? thats my point... think about it.. if we were tunable we all would be going turbo right now.. we cant tune because noone has cracked the ECM....

Still stuck on a ECU tune huh? if your that worried about the complexity of other tuning mthods you shouldnt even be considering boost IMO.
