Does this look rite? I think I broke something...

I just put lowering springs on about a week ago and this morning i put on the 2.0 Down pipe, we were going around a corner and hear a small metal crack type sound, i didnt think much of it and kept driving, when i got bak to my house we were making sure everything was fine and my friend pointed this out (see pics). I dont know if this was there before or not and if so is it bad?

bump

actually that little plate does serve a purpose and it is there to keep your manifold from melting your bushings

yeah but that is the purpose of that shield plat is to keep the heat away from the bushing what happens when rubber heats up gets really rubbery right so if you dont have the plate then your bushign aint melting but it is getting warm meaning that its not being as stiff as its suppose to be so heat + rubber = really loose

Me + Your mom = really loose.

Just Kidding

If he has a problem with soft mounts he can just pop the plate back in

if your talking about the mount than yea they do. they have polyurethane mounts. theyre a bit better for the car...mostly the tranny, and reduce wheel hop as well, but they make the car vibrate a bit more, and some people dont like it. i personally love it though, but it seems the amount of vibrations the car gets is different for every car. its a personal choice for you.

btw, theyre like $40 per mount or something..pretty cheap supporting mod

i really, really doubt that stupid metal piece actually does anything. it's paper thin, you can bend it with one finger. and for the temperature that the cat gets, i'm sure that metal peiece gets just as hot.
