How sensitive is the MAF sensor to abuse?

How sensitive is the MAF sensor to abuse?

I'm putting on my intake and I kinda had to force the MAF to fit into the intake tube because the welds were messy. I filed them down as much as I could, but I don't think it was enough.

as long as you dont have any codes and the car is running fine it should be ok

It fits, the intake tube rubs against the brake lines somewhat though. I guess it's ok.

Works good. Just took it out for a drive. Whines really loud now! Thanks
