oh you guys are the **** for posting this. I've been wondering about this. Anyone make an install/bracket and hardware kit for the Cobalt SS/SC? How about a HowTo? I gotta get some sleep--goodnight!!

I am about to get a Cobra HE... but i was going to delete and remove the stock HE. Would it be MUCH better to keep the stock one as well? Hmmm...

I was gonna add the Cobra HE, dual pass, and extra coolant reservoir. My idea with the extra reservoir was to cut out the plastic guard that is under the cap, that way when I know I am going to have a few races, I can fill it full with Ice!

Thoughts?

honestly.. not sure.. i was just told to keep both.. so i did

i now have 4 radiators.. lmao..

AC, engine, stock HE, cobra HE.... fun

It is a very very tight squeeze.. you need to get L shaped coolant elbows, and trim them down...

you can get the brackets from Home depot, and zip tie it to the HE.

For one of the lines, i found it easiest to route the hose Up and OVER all the radiators, then straight down to the cobra HE.

you want to get the cobra HE as CLOSE to the bumper (front of the car) as you possibly can, you will need all the room you can get (behind the cobra HE)

I used a Dual pass Intercooler, and my IAT2's where at 112* on a 90 degree day at wot, and it stayed there. Temps just dropped soon as i parked the car to about 95* or 100 something like that.

Had Dual pass endplate, dualpass HE, and option B

how? Is there a how to on how to make your own anywhere? or are you talking about the two L brackes put together, then zip tie the H/E to them?

Also, for the option B setup, how do you make your own brackets for the second reservoir?

Yes... search the How-To section... there is a whole write up on how to route it... where to put the brackets... etc... etc... etc

Here it is: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/how-install-cobra-heat-exchanger-56k%3Ddeath-34855/
