Sorry, the stang is going to walk you.

Some people on this forum need to go drive the new v6 stang. Yes, the older ones were dogs but new ones should pull high 14's from the factory.

Well i used to have a 2.4 SS and I raced a v6 mustang stock and beat it by a car length so Im pretty sure you should kill him.

i thought auto ss's ran 15.7ish, idk it should be kinda close, i've never been in a cobalt with the 2.4, but i have driven a standard 06 v6 mustang and it is torquey as hell

I understand that. He also listed his mods. And he also says he is racing a V6. Hence my answer: he will win

the stang, it was the only car faster than the 2.4 SS in Motortrend's fastest cars under 20k

http://www.caranddriver.com/features...iac-g5-gt.html

http://www.caranddriver.com/features...stang-v-6.html

Stang: 0-to-60-mph time: 6.5 sec
Quarter-mile time: 15.3 sec @ 93 mph

Us: 0-to-60-mph time: 7.1 sec
Quarter-mile time: 15.7 sec @ 91 mph

should be close though

I smashed one in my SS/SC. You'll probably beat it. They may be faster than the older ones, but they're heavy..

i disagree i just actually drove one like 3 days ago and they really dont pull much harder than the old ones..... i mean there peppy dont get me wrong but no in the league of SRT-4, sti, evo's i mean in my opinion there for older ppl that want the look and not so much the go.

As usual, the what if's don't mean a lot when it's two people who aren't paper-racing. It could totally be a drivers race.

I do think though, that if it was the same caliber of driver, the V6 stang will win.

i'd say that you'd probably lose, people called bullshit on me when i said an SS/SC would kill a v6 stang cause they're idiots, the ss/na isn't far behind the mustang and i guess if you get the jump and it's from a roll you'll have a chance.
