GMPP stage 3 questions.

I've recently been looking into the stage 3 kit and have been reading threads to find info, but i still have a few questions. My car now is just the Stage 2 kit and GMPP exhaust, and by the sounds of it i wont need to replace anything for the stage 3 kit but i just want to make sure.

Also, i've heard people saying that to have your A/C back, you just disconnect the stage 3 pcm and hook up the stage 2 pcm, what is involved in this?

Also, stage 3 kit is not recommended for highway driving, and i spend a lot of time on the highway. would switching back to the stage 2 pcm be all i had to do? or is that a precautionary thing and the stage 3 tune is fine for freeway driving?

I have searched on the site for answers to these questions, but havent had much luck.

I'm planning on running a 50shot with the kit, so anyone who has the stage 3 setup, or anyone who knows any answers, it would be much appreciated.

bump

if you don't plan on using it often, why not get a smaller pulley and have a 2nd tune handy so you can just swap back and forth. that will probably be cheaper, you don't have to worry about ac crapping out, and you'll have more flexibilty

i would use it often, the problem is that i spend about 5 hours/week on the highway and i'm not sure why its not recommended. and what is all involved in changing the pcm's?

Highway driving is no big deal at all, I drove 30 miles one way to work everyday in mine. It is just fine.

All you need to is unplug your stage 3 pcm and plug in your stage 2 which takes about 5 minutes in order to get your AC back.

Stage 3 rocks.

The stage III pcm hasn't went throught emissions testing therefor it is off road use only. As for the ac yoy can just jumper a toggle switch into the wiring harness to enable the ac. Again they disabled this to discourage on road use. There is a thread somewhere I read on how to do this pretty simple fix. I'd like to be running stage 3 by the summer with the 50 shot.

Just got my wiring pins today from Crate for the Nitrous hook up part for the ECU for GM Stage 3 . I bought all the pieces seperatly and these did not come with them. I will be hooking it up once the warranty is done in June.
