First Dyno for UndrGrndCobalt

I got fucked on this one... This is what i was told...
Ok guys headed up to the the nearest dyno bout 1 this afternoon (CST)... i wasn't to shocked by the numbers, but then again i was... this is actual WHP, not BHP... they said to the wheels there is about a 25-28% loss... i put down 167 on the first 4th gear pull and 164 on the 2nd pull... not as great as the 217's stock and 230's with intake, but it's too the wheels... here is a pic of the sheet and a pic of me in my car right before launch... went ahead and figured in the loss and at 25% my BHP would be 209 and at a 28% loss it would be 214... so thos e are round about the numbers others are putting down... this was done on a mustang 250 dyno...

sorry it's hard to read
<br>

lemme know what you think, i will not be dynoing on the same dyno after every mod... so i'll let you know...

ok i understand it looks like i got fucked, i will go to another dyno within the next week and see how it goes... i'll head 200 miles north to houston to find a better dyno..

They told you 25-28% drivetrain loss?!??!?!?!?!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
Wow man, do NOT ever go back there again and tell everyone else you can to not go back there. They obviously know very very little about what theyre doing. AWD cars lose 28% at the most to the drivetrain, FWD cars lose roughly 15-17%, which would make your final BHP estimate even lower. That number is way too low anyways even for a Mustang dyno, so dont ever go back there again man, I wouldnt trust them.

If that dyno is correct then you crank HP is 196. I also think something is wrong, but you could have the weakest SS I've seen so far.

no dude don't sweat it.. carry that dyno around in your glove box and when you beat the livin poo out of someone racing, just pull it out and say .. "your car must suck man.. i only got 160whp"

it's pretty funny cause i still got the dynodynamics dynosheet i pulled on and only got 184hp in my glovebox and that's what i show to people.. the look on their face makes it worth the money i spent on that shitty dyno lol

Mustand dynos give alot lower numbers because of how they work, which is different than Dynojet dynos. I don't know how much less, but I wouldn't be to pissed off though. If their numbers are right, you'll be putting down ~214 @ the wheels. Which isn't that low for your car.

Mustang Dyno's always dyno lower than a Dynojet. They more accurately represent the power you're putting down on the street. As well, if you're tuning your car, you will want to tune on a Mustang Dyno.

Dynojet dyno's are basically for making one feel better about themselves...hee hee....I know I did

The 25-28% is pretty accurate. Ive heard Mustang Dyno's will dyno 30% lower than a Dynojet.

i was told to add 12-15% to my mustang dyno run to be able to compare it to what it would have read on a dynojet if that helps at all

so the numbers are about that, the guy did tell me they were on average 25-28% lower than dynojet and others because of the type of dyno... so does this sound about right or do i have the slowest cobalt on the forum...

Well wait, did he tell you that your numbers are 28% less than a Dynojet, or youre losing 28% through the drivetrain?? Theres a little bit of a difference there. Originally you said there is a 28% loss to the wheels, now youre saying they said theres a 28% difference compared to the dynojet, which would be more accurate.
And nobody is going to know if you have the slowest cobalt on the forum without TRACK TIMES!!! Stop dyno racing!!!
