Octane booster?

Does anyone use a booster? Highest Octane I can find is 91 (which I run) however I would like to add some booster due to GM recommending 93 or above for Stage2. Any info or help would be greatly appricated...

Waste of money. They do not "boost" your octane. Its been proven also to lower your MPG. Try searching I know there are many threads. Also 91 is fine with stage II. Heck you can run 87 if ya wanted to. But you'd be fine with 91 maybe a knock here or there but nothing to be worried about.

Octane boost is useless. It tends to gum up fuel injectors after prolonged use and it really only boosts the octane of the gas 1 or two points. More importantly, let's say 93 was available to you and you wanted to add octane boost to bump it up to 95. In order to obtain the benefits of a higher octane fuel, you would need to tune the car for that. Otherwise you are just wasting money.

quality octane boosters such as Lucas, or Torco accelerant increase your octane considerably.

these guys will use the old snakeoil line, that 8 octane points actually only means 0.8 octane rating.
which used to be true. and is still true of some cheap octane boosters.
the quality ones are no joke. when they say they can make 91 octane run like 96, its true.
ive seen the first hand proof countless times right in front of me in HPtuners.

I personally dont suggest using it ALL the time.
but as a track day additive, IF your tuned to take advantage of it.....it works quite well.

that being said, its no substitute for true 94/98/100 octane etc.
