personally i suck it up as well...but it bugs the **** outa me....i mean like ****....my 16 year old blazer heats up and unfogs faster then my year old pursuit...its crap if u ask me...
it usually takes my car a couple minutes to clear up but not 15. i got in my car to leave wal-mart last night and they seemed to take a while to clear up but i think that was mostly due to impatience. i backed out of my spot hoping i didn't hit anything and thankfully i didn't!!
it will create heat faster than your new, small displacement 4 cylinder engine.

ok but either way...it should not take 15 min to unfog a small ass windshield such as the one in my car...i thikn it boils down to gm going the cheap route and putting a shitty heater in this tihng.... and as for the blazer being a bigger shittier older engine...the motor in my blazer is newer then my car

if can help a little if you lift the RPMS up to about 2k after its warmed up a little.
it will help keep the altenator making good juice, which will keep your fans going better,
as well as getting the coolant warming quicker
The quickest way is to get load on the engine.
but dont drive with your windows fogged

I'm not sure if it would help with the defrosting but my girlfriend just bought some spray de-icer stuff. It works like a chram, and it seems as though she never has to defrost the windows after spraying it either.
I'm not sure how the stuff actually works but it may be worth a shot, the spray bottle was probably like 4.99 or so.

I just bought the deicer windshield washer stuff. It's got alcohol in it I think, but it evaps instead of freezes. I hit that and the defog and probably 1.5 minutes, maybe less. Thats with the coolant at like 40ish degrees.
The heater on my blazer can cook a 50 lb turkey in 15 minutes. There should be a flashing red light and siren that go off warning the occupants whenever the heat knob gets turned all the way to INFERNO.
On the other hand, if you want your Cobalt windows to defrost faster, just remove the thermostat from your engine and empty out half of the coolant. Your engine will likely lock up, but at least you'll have clear frost free windows FAST.
