XM Radio. Can't get certain channels. Why?

Sorry for another question guys, but this is really bugging me. I got the XM Radio package with my 'Balt too, but I noticed I can only get certain channels. It doesn't say anywhere in my manuals as to why this is so. I am assuming you have to pay for the extra channels? I have a 2 month free trial period, if that helps at all.

Thanks again.

What channels do you currently have? When I had my trial run, I had every channel.

I am a bit embarrased to say this (type this? Whatever. ) but...

I am not exactly sure how to operate the thing fully yet (only got it a few hours ago) but when I figure it out all of the way i'll get back to ya, lellow. Heh. lellow. XD

That's odd though. You had every channel? I only have 7ish.

Should I just check up with the dealership though? Or does that have nothing to do with them?

just check with the dealership because they have to activate your radio. In ur trial period, you should have every channel regardless of when u brought it. Definitely call them first.

sounds like you have a few preview channels , like XM preview, emergency alert and like stupid demo channels. Don't think it's active yet.

You have the "preview" trail run. It only gets a few channels and if you try to search through them, it automatically goes to the next "preview" channel. I had that last month, where they gave me a preview run, and it was only like 20 on 20, Disney channel, etc. Make sure to go to the dealership you got the car from, and tell them that they need to put you on the free trial. You're getting jipped!

Oh, and it took me awhile to get used to using the dumb thing. So, you're not the only one.

If you only have like 7 channels chances are that XM hasn't began your free trial. Same thing happened to me when I bought mine, XM said the limited channels are a demo for the dealer. So the sales man can show you sat. radio when you go for a test drive. Give it a day or so and you'll have all the channels... BTW... Channel 48 is the best!!
