Angry I have the worst luck with cars

lets start with the old S.O.M SS/SC
1. A/C goes out and the next day the runoff goes to where the passenger puts their feet and it floods it
2. i get the A/C fixed and then my wreck happens
3.so now im driving my step das jeep and it overheats just as i pull into the driveway..turns out it wasnt holding pressure or something in the radiator
4. i get the new AB SS/SC YAY!!!
5. im going to the drag strip and my flex pipe gets a huge crack in it so i run a shitty time at the track due to a major exhaust leak
6.i get a new pipe and they put the exhaust back on well the tightend the rear bracket to tight so it broke so my exhaust was just hanging for a day or 2...
7.i get that fixed then a couple days later i get the engine pwr reduce mode....
8. Now the most recent problem...im coming home from houston so i stop at a chevron to put 93 in and then 5 miles down the road my CEL comes on m like wtf so i pull over to make sure my car was tight..(Make note it rained the whole 300 mile trip)so the car i running fine all the way home and the CEL is still on...so now i had to go to work a hour later so i start the car and its fine but then 5 miles down the road the jerks really bad and it pulls u forward in the seat........it does this at about 2800k-4000k so i stay away from that range to work and when i park i give it a quick rev to 5k to see what it does...and it wont go above 4500k...

Please someone tell me whats wrong....did i get bad gas?? water in the intake??

my mods are in sig if u need 2 knw

It sounds more like water in the intake rather than bad gas. Its odd it didn't start until your last 5 miles of the 300 mile trip tho.

Make sure your air filter is not saturated with water, and take your MAF meter out and clean it with a Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol. Definitely sounds like what happened to me, had airbox mod and got my air filter drenched in water.

if the check engine light is on, get it scanned. we can sit here and speculate whats wrong, but getting it scanned will tell you exactly whats going on.

Before you take the car in take the filter off the intake and check for water. If it is wet let it dry before you put it back on and it should be okay but you should get a hydroshield. You should buy an interceptor so you don't have to go to autozone to figure out your codes.

I think they are around $250 but sometimes you can find one in the classifieds for a pretty good price. You will probably need a gauge pod as well.
