I have a welded on exhaust can it be taken off and be reused on another car??

I have a welded on exhaust can it be taken off and be reused on another car??

I have a corsa exhaust im trying to get taken off i had it welded on now i want it off to sell but the only way that i see it coming off is it being cut....If/when its cut will it be able to get rewelded on to work for another car??

as another cobalt?

yes, i did this about 2 weeks ago. be warned that it's a pain in the ass. steps are as follows:

1) jack car on both sides
2) disconnect brake lines
3) completely take off the torsion beam

then the exhaust comes off. sounds simple. better have 2 helpers because that torsion beam is heavy, and you don't want it falling on your head when you remove the bolts.

I dont see why not. Just make sure the cuts are clean and smooth. When you cut it, it may come out a bit short. But I dont see why an exhaust shop cant add alittle pipe to it.

screw it, cut the damn thing and when its sold they can take it to a muffler shop for about 20-30 dollars to have it welded. i have had mine welded plenty of times because i cant make up my damn mind

I'm a welder/fabricator by trade so don't worry about it's future weldability and so on. IT CAN ALL BE WELDED! Have it removed at the original (CORSA) location and call it a day.
Somebody out there wants one, and your left with a clean slate.

plasma cut that bastard off of there. Nice and clean cut! No big deal to weld another one on there after that.
