sylvania bulbs

im running sylvania bulbs in my projectors and my car only has 6800kms on it and i've had to change my bulbs twice already and tonight another burnt out

are these bulbs **** or do the projectors burn through them?

also, when i did the install my friend sliced the wires so that when im driving around during day light the bulb is running in the projector and nothing else.

he saudered the wires so i dont know how im going to unchange that... anyone??

thanks in advance!

which sylvania bulbs are you referring to? silverstars? if these are silverstars...they are crap. they dont make anything brighter or anything a higher color temperature like they say. all it is, is a slight tint on the bulb to give it the look but actually decrease light output.

as far as it burning out all the time. i highly doubt the projector is causing this..probably bad wiring. but if you want facts about bulbs and performance on them. check this site out. i suggest and am soon going to get HIR's to fit into the stock headlight housing...

hope this helps out and didnt get too much off the subject.

thanks for the link i'll give it a read tonight.

yeah they are the silverstars. im just wondering if these "upgrade" have a shorter life span then regular bulbs as i said that my projector beam is constantly running due to my friend splicing the wires wrong.

my projector is all that runs during the day as a day time running light, nothing else till night
at night the halos come on and the regualr daytime lights "signals" come on

I recently put in some Silverstar Ultra bulbs and they're actually pretty decent. Definitly a brighter light than stock.
