Small issue with the radio???????

Seems like every time i change a station or turn off my car the bass setting resets itself, it's no biggie, but it's annoying. Anybody else experience this?

seems like they got the battery cable and the constant power mixed up. Could alos be a lose cable to the ignition. Is there anything you did to your car recently that you took apart the dash or something like that?

nope, only had the car about a month, haven't done anything to it. It saves the stations and everything, it's just the bass that is always changing.

Mine did this, then I learned how to reset the Standard setting for it and all was good, I wanted the bass in the middle, the G/f liked the Country setting (Bass up a bit) and she set that one to be the regular one...I had to adjust the Bass everytime I got in and started it, so I finally reset it to the middle. Check your Instruction book....

actually the car isn't resetting itself ... here is an example ... lets say you have 92.3 on station FM1 preset one and then again on FM2 preset 3 ... when you set the preset for the first station it will take the audio settings then apply it to that preset ... as soon as you change the station it no longer keeps the same audio settings but rather goes to default fac. settings ... but when you go back to your first preset it will apply the settings ... now you change to your FM2 presets and select preset 3 the settings will again be back to fac. settings since you never actually changed them before applying the custom audio settings to this particular preset ... best way to clear this is to go to each preset one at a time then apply your custom settings and re-apply the station to the preset number of your choice this also applies to XM preset stations and the CD audio settings ... once the custom settings are applied they will be remembered unless the preset is changed with different settings

Edit: its just a matter of you not actually setting the radio with the custom settings for each preset

Actually, my Equinox did that. I thought it was just that car. I took it to the dealer and they had no clue what I was talking about. It pissed me off...so I traded it in and got the SS.......thats not why I did it...but it was annoying.

Yeah what he said above, this was annoying me too. Just have the bass settings the way you want them on that station as you set the preset.

My '06 Cobalt LT does this too, but only in XM mode. My dealer thinks the radio may need to be replaced.
