How do you take off the stock shift knob?

How do you take off the stock shift knob?
I have a 2006 ss/sc and i want to replace the shift knob. How do i get it off?

never had oen off but the shift indicator snaps off(mine was warrentied 5 times)
there is a bolt under that cover
