Two completely different differentials. They won't swap.

I'm not sure, but there might be a different Quaife application for you. You could even pick up an OBX one and rebuild it, it will work just as good as the Quaife.

Then maybe you could answer the OP's questions about the difficulty of the install. Last I checked, 2.4s weren't offered the option from the factory.

allows you to put power down through the corners far better.
instead of spinning your inside wheel.

You also have an SS/SC. He doesn't. It won't work. He needs to buy one for the Getrag tranny that he has, not the FGP from the SS/SC.

OP, it won't work, sell it, buy one specifically for the 2.2/2.4 or a 2.2 Eco Cavalier, that diff will work, it's all the same one. None of those cars have it as a factory option, so you have to buy aftermarket.

or lack thereof?

Anyways, something like this would work great. No idea why the description says for the F23 but not the Getrag, probably a typo but anyways.....

With these differentials, they are built nearly identical to a Quaife. It is recommended though that you disassemble and clean it and also realign the bellevue washers for the max amount of pressure. Should last for quite a while.

The getrag trans are a piece of cake to swap out the diffs compared to the mu3 (f35)trans in the supercharged cars. Maybe you could get the whole trans, mounts, axles and shifter out of a wrecked ss sc and swap it I just don't know about the clutch.

Clutch won't work unless you can get one custom drilled. The driveshaft bolt pattern is different between the SS/SC and the 2.2 and 2.4.

8bolt flywheel vs 6 bolt flywheel. MVP had one custom drilled It was expensive tho. If you want posi spend the cash on the quaif one It will probably work out cheaper in the end.
