So the dealership where I bought my car is made up of a bunch of ********.

Unfortunately they're the only Chevy dealer in my hometown.

I need to get my car in for service, can I get warranty work done at a dealership that deals GMC and Pontiac but not chevy?

 

idk gm is pretty touchy about that whole thing, for example my dad part-owns a chevy dealership but there is no way in HELL that hed be able to sell GMC products there.
anyways, maybe if your lucky. Its awesome to have family in the auto industry...

I don't see y not because its a GM. However, it would be best for you to take it to a chevy dealership because they may be well versed with these cars and the GMC and Pontiac dealership are probably going to be quicker at 'voiding' your warranty because of ANY aftermarket accessory.

I have had my Chevy Blazer in for Warantee work at the local Pontiac dealer a few times. Same goes for a Cavalier I had a few years back. All warantee work was done at my local Pontiac dealer.

^^since i work at a dealer... i was gunna say that but he beat me to it...

 

We once has a pontiac's brakes done at a saturn dealer, the shoes we on backwards, but it worked.

 

What Stealership Hack? I haven't had any problems with warranty work (only 2 small issues) with East Syracuse Chevrolet.

And yes, as others have said, you shouldn't have any problems at any Pontiac or GMC dealership.

You can but don't expect the parts to be in stock. It's not always the case.

If they end up ordering parts they'll pick it up from another dealer in the state or have it shipped. Depends on how your dealer is ran.
