Help with Forced Induction

Hey Guys,
I got a question and need some guidance.
I have an '07 G5GT and am planning on forced induction.
Now what I need help with is, which would benefit me more, turbo or supercharged?
Whats the differences between the two?
If you can help me out or just teach me some things I'd really appreciate it!

turbocharging is pretty much becoming the forced induction method of the future. It is a turbine that is spooled up by exhaust and in return compresses that air back into the engine. (to put it simply)

supercharging simply compresses the air that comes through the intake of the car, therefore increasing air mass in the cylinder, which when you add more fuel and stuff it creates a bigger bang, which creates more power.

in terms of which is better, is preference really. do you want expandable power or just a little bit of pep on the weekends to have fun with? Getting the right turbocharger and parts can easily net you over 300hp, and even more if you put ona bigger turbo. A supercharger will more than likely not net you and more than 300hp, may get you right at 300 if your lucky. Not to mention the turbo is a bit more expensive than a supercharger. As of right now, Hahns kit is the only way your going to go forced unless you go custom. Meanwhile i believe its rebel can give you a parts list with a few parts theyve fabricated to setup your own supercharger kit, but you have to pick up the parts at your own preference.

Basically it all comes down to preference.

yea id have to say so...id recommend the Hahn kit...but if your feeling bold and you have a way to tune...go custom

Turbos are typically able to give you bigger gains (if it is the right turbo). superchargers give you that hp/torque right away. There is no turbo lag. Superchargers also sound sweet if you like the whining (I do).

turbo, trust me youll love it. Havent seen any of the supercharged le5's beat my time yet. that may say something there.

actually you didnt say that but i get how you were saying it...kind of an indirect wya of saying it...anyways like i said turbo is your best route...its the only f/i method that ha a complete kit ready to go

mike yeah, i did get your PM back. It's good man, i can do a manual job when i get time. I have been swamped trying to get all my cutters and tools organized and stuff. And yeah there are lots of ways to tune the LE5, but to do a custom install turbo kit without knowing what you are doing and having it tuned is going to cost an assload more than a kit...go with the kit....it's pretuned, 8-10 hour install time and you are ready to mess those coffee-can kids up...lmao...picking up my AEM F/IC in a couple of weeks...then about a week or so after that...turbo baby!!!!

ok just let me know how you make out with it...lol yea it will be a shitload more expensive...i know how to be piece it all together and whats needed...my only problem is the tuning since i dont know how to do it...but i think i may have that all resolved
