I had detailing this car when the owner basically first purchased it, and that was looong time ago. Well, he had gotten back in touch b/c his wife took a snow brush to it during one of our ice/snow storms. So going in to this, I knew it probably wouldnt be pretty. This car seems to hide its defects very well, b/c I wasnt really expecting it to be this tough. Sorry for the lack of after pics, I finished pretty late and as the owner showed up, I literally just finished cleaning the glass, so didnt really get to snap too many. Anyway, Heres the lowdown:

I realize the hood could've probably used another pass or two, but after doing 4 or 5 already, I felt as though I had it to the point where it was very good and I could do any finishing or additional correcting when I see it again in April) The remaining few scratches were deep and really should be wetsanded out. Again, I had it to a point where I felt it was sufficient and did not want to keep spending time on it, wasting the owners money, when more passes would've only shown marginal improvements. The remainder of the car had 95% correction imo
For starters:

And here are some hood shots. This was by far the worst section of the car. The rest was just average defects, but this hood... ugh... it was just trashed.

And I have to say... I've been using so many new waxes and sealants for the past few months, I've forgotten how much I really like carnauba moose wax. It gives such a nice deep gloss to the paint. I need to start using it more again. I also kinda wish I took some more afters b/c it was really looking good when it was all said and done.

And... for having such a relatively clean interior, I did have to give him the "weirdest item found while detailing award" for the year so far. Luckily they were probably only 2 weeks old.. that could've gotten ugly. ... i was tempted to eat them towards the end of the night, lol.
