Okay so that I started 2 days ago putting on the stage 2 kit. I am finished with everything except for getting that damn belt on that tensioner. Everytime my friend and I try and put it on the wrench slips off the square that you push down on. Any suggestions on a different way I can compress that tensioner??? (The spot where you push down is starting to get warn on the edges so the wrench is really slipping off now...) HELP PLEASE!!!

 

Get a vise grip and clamp it on as hard as you can.... If that doesnt work 3 dudes to push down on it.

 

Ok this works for me. I can't take credit for it though, i learned it from another member. Pop the cap off of your idler pulley. Take a t-50 torx bit and you favorite 1/2 drive ratchet fit it into the bolt underneath the idler pulley cover. Next push it towards the back of the car and down at the same time. Make sure the bolt is tight first as to not just loosen it.

 

use a pry bar and the engine mou nt as leverage. it works great. one of the how-to's even does it

 

You want to be kinda gentle with the tensioner though.... I have personally seen 3 break.
